pac® mother plants in 19 cm pots as ready-for-sale ware
[Pelargonium Cultivars Zonal and Peltatum groups]

Description: Thanks to their previous use as mother plants, the plants are well branched and are especially suitable for large plant assemblies and hanging pots.
Consider the higher transport expenditure when plants are re-potted in 26 cm pots (10 plants per layer - 30 plants per CC).
Potting: The plants are recommended to be re-potted in 23 to 26 cm pots (not too closely: approx. 9 plants/m²).
Substrate: Make sure the existing root ball remains intact during re-potting. The bigger pots may be topped up with a white peat containing substrate.
No re-potting is necessary when the 19 cm pots are continued to be used.
Fertilization: The following conditions should be created:
pH: 5.8 - 6.0
EC: 1.0 - 1.2 mS
We recommend a slightly K-accentuated multi-nutrient fertilizer.
Temperature: As the plants already have a fully developed root ball, they can be cultivated at 12 to 16 °C depending on the desired selling time.
Flowering: As from mid--April depending on the light conditions and temperature.
Growth regulators: 1 to max. 2 treatments with Cycocel 720, 0.1 to 0.2 %, when raw ware is purchased in weeks 3 to 7.
Pinching: A systematic pinching/lopping is not necessary; thanks to the previous use as mother plants they already have sufficient branches.
However, a shaping cut should be taken into consideration.
Diseases and pest: Botrytis, plant lice
Water balance is of importance; the plants must not stand too wet, danger of botrytis, damage to roots and irregular plant build-up are the consequences.
