pac® Little Lady® [Pelargonium Zonale]

Description: The pac® Little Lady® series represents the most compact varieties in the market.
This feature gives the varieties a special charm and makes them best suited for indoor use, as table decoration, as urn grave plants and as articles sold on St. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Woman's Day.
The multitude of uses allows these varieties to be sold over a longer period. Please note: Finished products intended to be sold on St. Valentine's Day need to be exposed to light.
Potting: 8 - 10 cm pots, weeks 48 - 12
Normal cultivation as from week 4 will require a period of 8 to 10 weeks.
Substrate: A loose, well-drained substrate, or standard soil, of type 2 (type T) is important.
N 150 - 250 mg/l
P 130 - 200 mg/l
K 300 - 350 mg/l
pH 5.8 - 6.0
EC 1.0 - 1.2 mS
Fertilization: We recommend continuous liquid fertilization with a complete fertilizer (e.g. 0.8 g/l):
N : P : K = 18 : 11 : 18
Avoid excessive watering.
Temperature: 16-18°C, depending on the prevailing light conditions.
Light: Much light is required.
In case there is not enough light, the temperature should be lowered to avoid too long leaf stems.
Flowering: Starts in March depending on light conditions (if no extra light is used). Ready-for-sale-plants to be sold on St. Valentine's Day need to be exposed to light.
Growth regulators: For an even growth, treat with 0.15 % Cycocel after 2 weeks.
Pinching: Pinching is not necessary.
Diseases and pest: Botrytis, plant lice
Water balance is of importance; the plants must not stand too wet, danger of botrytis, damage to roots and irregular plant build-up are the consequences.
