| Description: | Its bright yellow colour and slightly hanging growth makes this plant ideal for mixed (combination) planting. The strong demand for water, light and fertilizer needs to be taken into account. |
|---|---|
| Potting: | 11/12 cm pots, week 6 - 10, one young plant per pot 18 - 25 cm, hanging baskets, week 3 - 8, 3 plants per basket |
| Substrate: | Substrate of type 2 (with clay portion) pH 5 - 6 |
| Fertilization: | Very consumptive, 1 - 2 x a week max. 1.5 g/l |
| Temperature: | 16 - 18 °C, lower later to 12 - 14 °C |
| Light: | Cultivate in full light, no shadow! |
| Flowering: | From 15th week depending on light conditions (if no extra light is used). |
| Growth regulators: | Whenever needed spray once or twice 0.05% Topflor, Caramba (0.1 - 0.2 %) or Regalis (0.25%). DIF/Cool Morning is of advantage! The ‘Yellow Wonder’ variety is naturally compact and can be cultivated in a cool environment without the application of any inhibitors. |
| Pinching: | Lopping or shaping is recommended in order to get a better plant build-up. 1 to 2 weeks after potting or immediately in case of a suitable young plant size. |
| Diseases and pest: | Mildew, botrytis, white fly, thrips, miner flies; take hygienic measures! |
| Water balance is of importance; the plants must not stand too wet, danger of botrytis, damage to roots and irregular plant build-up are the consequences. | |
